Whats the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Overall Botox and Dysport are very similar. Both are a type of botulinum type A used to relax the muscles that cause frown lines and other over active muscles of the face, like forehead lines and crows feet (around the eyes). Dysport is a smaller-sized molecule so its unit measurement is different than Botox.
The non-invasive injections help to reduce the appearance the wrinkles by relaxing the under lying muscles. By relaxing and stilling the muscles it will give the skin a smoother look. Neither treatment gets rid of existing wrinkles for good, but the effects are meant to make wrinkles less noticeable.
While both products contain similar active ingredients they, trace proteins can vary which can make a patient respond better to one verse another.
