How Does Sculptra Work?

Once injected deep into the dermis, micro-particles of PLLA stimulate a controlled inflammatory response that triggers fibroblasts to produce new collagen strands. Over time, the PLLA micro-particles are absorbed by the body, but the newly formed collagen network remains. Results are not immediate. The volume builds gradually over a series of 2-3 treatments spaced weeks apart. This “slow and steady” approach ensures that no one knows you’ve had work done—you just look progressively more rested and youthful. Results can last 25 months or longer.
